It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ian on Wednesday, July
28th, 2010 after a courageous 3 year battle. Loving husband of Carole (nee Stevens) for 22 years. Proud father
of Samantha (Dan) and Amanda. Son of John & Florence Gillespie of St. Catharines. Brother of Jane (Harry)
Vanderkuyl of Rodney, ON. Cousin of Anne & Frank Howden of Scotland. Brother-in-law of Carl (Lora) Stevens,
James (Tabytha) Stevens. Dear son-in-law of Carl & Sandra Stevens. Ian will be sadly missed by his nephew
Alex, nieces Brooke & Madison, and his many friends and family. Ian was an employee of Dana Canada for 23 years.
Special thanks to Dr. Rose, Dr. Samosh, Dr. Sawula, Oncology Staff and the entire Palliative Care Unit.
Cremation has
taken place. The family will receive friends at the HAMMOND FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold
on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, July 31st at 11:00am. If
so desired, donations to the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
GODIN, Cecile Marie (Carrier)
A life well lived, a woman well loved. Born in Lorne, N.B. on July
1st, 1928. Cecile passed away peacefully at home on July 24th, 2010 surrounded by her loving family and her sister May.
Loving wife and best friend of the late Delphis Joseph for 60 years. Greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her 8
children; Romeo, Adrien, Shirley, Alva, Gerald, Debbie, Louis and Paul. Proud and loving Nanny to 24 grandchildren,
36 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Survived by sisters May, Esther, Rose, Irene and brothers Valmond,
Tellesphore. Predeceased by her parents, brothers Eugene and Lionel. She will be lovingly remembered by her many
nieces and nephews and all who knew her. Cecile was a very family orientated woman who loved to laugh and tell stories.
She was an amazing cook and welcomed everyone into her home. She truly missed her husband, friend and partner Delphis.
A special thank you to Alva, Janet, May and Misty for their assistance during Cecile's hour of need.

DEL DUCA, Fortunata (September 25, 1921 - July 22, 2010)
It is with sadness that we announce the passing
of Fortunata Del Duca, peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late
Americo Del Duca (2001). Loving mother of Raffaele and his wife Ersilia. A devoted grandmother, nonna, Fortunata
will be sadly missed and forever remembered with love by her two grandsons Eric and Joseph. Survived by sisters Nazzarena
(Vincenzo) Gazzellone, Maria (Rosino) Mariani, Francesca (Raffaele) Risi, and brother Michele (Immacolata) Bianchi.
Sister-in-law of Alfredina (late Antonio) Bianchi, Battista (late Mario) Del Duca, late Domenico and Maria Del Duca, Augusto
and Maria Del Duca. Predeceased by brothers Nicola, Giovanni (Vincenza), Arturo Bianchi and sister Libera (Antonio)
Del Duca. Zia Fortunata will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Fortunata
was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Thorold.

At Caressant Care (Woodstock) on Sunday, July 18th, 2010 in her 96th year.
Predeceased by her husband William Wallace (1985). Loving mother of Marion (late Al) Moffat, Kathleen (late Leonard)
Hunt and Sharon (Doug) Allen. Helen will be sadly missed by many grandchildren and great granchildren.
